Subtraction of Zero (0)

We know that zero ( ) means
0
nothing or no value.

0 apple eaten

There were three apples in a plate. Raghav ate zero (0) apple.

So three apples remained on plate.

Hence 3 – 0 = 3

Similarly 4 – 0 = 4

3 apples are eaten 0 apple left

If Raghav ate all three apples.

Then no apple is left on plate.

Hence, 3 – 3 = 0

Similarly 7 – 7 = 0

Subtract the following.

4 – 0 = 8 – 8 = 5 – 0 =

9 – 9 = 4 – 4 = 7 – 0 =

2 – 0 = 1 – 1 = 6 – 0 =
