So the numbers cross out have more than two factors. Such numbers are called
composite numbers .
Co-prime Numbers
Two numbers which have only '1' as their common factor are called co-prime
numbers.
Example 1 : Which two numbers are co-prime number :- 16, 25, or 10, 15
Solution : (a) Factors of 16 are : 1, 2, 4, 8, 16
Factors of 25 are : 1, 5, 25 30, 35
16 and 25 have only 1 as their common factor. Hence they co-prime numbers.
(b) Factors of 10 are : 1, 2, 5, 10
Factors of 15 are : 1, 3, 5, 15
10 and 15 have two common factors, 1 and 5. Hence they are not co-prime
number.
