Note

We can also say that the predecessor of a particular number is the
number that comes just before it, while counting.

Successor

One more than any given number is called the successor of that number.

Example 3 : Write the successor of the number 5393.
Number Successor
5393 + 1= 5394
So 5394 is the successor of 5393
Similarly 8341 is the successor of 8340
2179 is the successor of 2178
1100 is the successor of 1099

Note
