Example 22 : (a) 8,55,375 ÷ 10
8,55,375 ÷ 10 = 85,537 quotient and 5 remainder
(b) 3,44,763 ÷ 100
3,44,763 ÷ 100 = 3447 quotient and 63 remainder
(c) 283546 ÷ 1000
2,83,546 ÷ 1000 = 283 quotient and 546 remainder
Note
When both dividend and divisor end with zero (0)
cancel the common number of zeros and then divide.
