numbers in same way we do in previous class.
6 2 8 5
Example 11 : Multiply 6285 by 289. × 2 8 9
Solution : When we multiply 6285 by 289 we know, 6285 5 6 5 6 5 ® (200 + 80 + 9)
is the multiplicand and 289 is the multiplier. 5 0 2 8 0 0 ® (6285 × 9)
First with the multiplicand i.e. 6285 we will + 1 2 5 7 0 0 0 ® (6285 × 80)
multiply by 9 and we get 56565.
1 8 1 6 3 6 5 ® (6285 × 200)
